We totally rebuild, re-curve and recondition the DVX, DK, D2A, DM6, DMBZ6, DM2P4, 22D and 25D
4 and 6 cylinder Lucas distributors.
All parts are replaced as needed, bushings, bearings, springs, weights etc.
Shafts are plated and refit for proper cam spec.
Distributor body’s are acid dipped and cleaned to OE finish.
Steel parts are re-plated.
DVX, DK, D2A, DM6 and DMBZ6 point plates reconditioned to new.
DM2P4, 22D and 25D point plates are replaced with new improved plates, 1 inch center bearing and braided ground.
Early DM2P4 distributor with pin link vacuum unit and hard to find, expensive 2 screw 420196 point set can be converted to a original equipment spring link vacuum unit, new point plate and inexpensive more common 423153 later point set.
Early DVX, DK, D2A DM6 and DMBZ6 threaded posts and leads are replaced.
All threaded hardware is replaced new.
All supplied with new points, leads, red rotor, vacuum unit and a Superior Blue condenser.
We often modify the curve for modern fuels and from emissions vacuum retard to performance vacuum advance.
Re-curved on our Sun distributor machine.
We are one of the only re-builders who can machine ported vacuum on Zenith carburetors for vacuum advance.
We manufacture just about every OE advance, retard and duel vacuum unit including special advance units for cars like the 1971 to 76 TR6.
We stock new 35D8 OE vacuum units for Aston Martin, Bentley MGBV8, Triumph Stag etc
